Gray Line Florence d.b.a. Caf Tour & Travel s.r.l., organises and carries out the tours featured in this programme, in conformity with the administrative authorization of the Florence Provincial Authority, no. 425 dated 24.1.1995. The programme conforms to the text established according to D.L. 111/95, approved by EEC regulation no. 90/314. In the presence of any contrary clause, the contract is governed by the provisions of law no. 1084 dated 27.12.77, in conformity with the ratification and enactment of the International Convention relating to the Travel Contract (C.C.V.).
Prices and programme are valid from 1st April 2017 to 31st October 2018. In the case of unexpected increases of the prices per person, exceeding 10%, as a result of new taxes or duties, the price will be adjusted and the clients notified in writing. What the fee per person covers is specifically stated in the brochure and on the website.
City Tours: tours are free for children under the age of 7. Excursions: tours are free for children under the age of 4. Children from 4 to 12 have a 50% discount. Children up to the age of 6 enter Florence museums free of charge. For Luxury Day Trips, we grant a 50% reduction for children aged 0-2, and a 30% reduction for children aged 3-8. Show a document proving children’s age, upon request. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Reservations are accepted, subject to availability (places, languages spoken by the guides, museum entry tickets, etc.).
There will be no penalty for cancellations of tour or service communicated in writing to Gray Line Florence up to 48 hours before departure time of the tour or service. Less than 48 hours before departure time of tour or service 100% of the total price will be due and no reimbursement will be granted. No reimbursement will be granted to any client who is not at the place of departure at the time established; similarly, no reimbursement will be granted to clients who lose contact with the guide or who do not complete the tour. Gray Line Florence reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any tour or service departure if operating requirements or circumstances beyond Gray Line Florence’s control prevent the normal running of the tour and when the minimum number of 6 paying adults is not reached (4 paying adults for Luxury Day Trips). Whenever - due to operational difficulties or reasons beyond its control (travel conditions, strikes, changes in opening hours, closure of museums, delays or other problems), Gray Line Florence is obliged to change the programme - an alternative itinerary and/or visits to other museums will be proposed, without any variation to the established price and the client will be informed prior to departure. If for any reason Gray Line Florence cancels the tour or service, the client may claim reimbursement only of the sum paid to Gray Line Florence. Moreover Gray Line Florence is not responsible for additional expenses that may be incurred by a client in relation to a cancelled tour or service (i.e. hotels, flights, etc.).
The English language is always guaranteed. The local guide service could be provided in two languages. The escort service is multilingual. Minimum numbers apply. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if the minimum number of passengers is not reached. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered another date or an alternative Tour or full refund.
Tours including Accademia Gallery, Uffizi Gallery are not running the first Sunday of the month. On city tours and tours in Florentine museums, the paying participants will be supplied with earphones, if there are at least 16 people in the group. No reimbursement is provided should these earphones not be supplied or used due to circumstances beyond the control of Gray Line Florence. On audio guided tours in Florentine museums, if you lose or do not return the Audioguide, you will be required to pay a penalty fee. The Small Groups Luxury Day Trips are organized only in English with minimum of 4 people. In the Small Groups Luxury Day Trips the driver-guide leads the tour providing general introductory information. He is not allowed to lead a guided visit inside a city centre, nor to provide historical and artistic information inside museums or churches. Tours by Fiat 500: please be informed about the following Driving Restrictions: To drive one of our vintage cars you MUST be a manual car driver (regularly, as in every day, not occasionally, and not at some point in the distant past). You MUST have a valid license to drive in Italy. This is a license from Europe. USA, or a license written in the Roman alphabet (not in a language using other characters. es. Chinese) accompanied by your passport. If you don’t have one you will need an INTERNATIONAL LICENSE, which is essentially a translation easily obtained from your driving authority. You MUST have a Credit card. This is for the insurance documents. As a driver you have dedicated insurance cover included in the price. You MUST have held your license for 1 year to drive any of the cars. All our routes are very carefully researched to enjoy quiet roads once we are out of town, whilst avoiding some of the busy major roads and complicated junctions. Tours by Vespa: please be informed about the following Driving Restrictions: Tours are for Advanced Drivers only, previous experience driving Scooter or Vespa is compulsory. The minimum age to drive is 20 years old. Car Driving License is mandatory. DRIVERS have to show their valid driving licence (original copy). International driving licence is required for participants from the following world areas: Middle East and Arab countries, Africa and North Africa, China, India, South America, Eastern Europe. Customers need to have their own credit card. On tour day a €800 deposit per scooter will be asked (€ 1000 deposit for two scooters) on customers credit card. This is fully refunded when the scooters come back with no damages. Please note when credit card company releases the hold, as the deposit is not a charge, customers will not see any refund on their card, they will just get the money available to spend on their card again. The tour leader reserves the right at his or her absolute discretion to terminate without notice and liability the participation of any rider who is unable to ride the Vespa safely. In such a case no refund will be due. The Tour is provided also in case of light rain or uncertain weather conditions, it may be cancelled in case of bad weather and a change of date or full refund will be offered.
Full payment is required at the time of booking.
Gray Line Florence cannot accept responsibility for damage caused by third parties or for reasons beyond its control, and cannot be held responsible for the loss of valuables, luggage or objects during tours. During the periods of greatest attendance, despite reservations, the entry to the museums could be subject to delays, which are not attributable to Gray Line Florence responsibility.
The tours scheduled in this programme are covered by third-party insurance for the risks, the indemnity limits and the guarantees laid down in D.L. 111/95 under UNIPOL policy N. 6/35910/319/81738292
Any complaint by the client must be communicated in writing to Gray Line Florence at firstname.lastname@example.org within and no later than 10 business days after the date of the tour.
Any disputes will be settled by The Court of Florence.
